Kristy Le was born in Nha Trang, Viet Nam. She and her family moved to the U.S. in 1990, settling in the Washington, DC area.
From her native Viet Nam, Kristy brought with her a great love of the natural world and its rich tapestry of beauty and colors. While learning the customs and language of her new homeland, Kristy enrolled in cosmetology school and began her professional career in suburban Maryland. She quickly realized that her talents and skills could be better honed in the international, urban environment of downtown Washington, D.C.
Kristy joined Cristophe Salon in 1997. Since that time, she has consistently been recognized as the leading manicurist in Washington. She was voted best manicurist in town by Allure magazine and was showcased in Town and Country magazine. She has built an extremely loyal clientele including Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan, Mrs. Victoria Kennedy and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Other high-profile clients include actresses Melanie Griffith, Ashley Judd, Nicole Kidman, Queen Latifah and Sharon Stone. Kristy has counted Mariah Carey, Serena Williams, Kobe Bryant, Larry King, JuJu Chang, Lisa Ling, and many of Washington’s prominent business and social leaders among her clientele.
Kristy specializes in mixing custom colors and advising clients on colors that best enhance their nature, personal style and lifestyle. She has developed a successful program to heal and rejuvenate problem nails. In a city where fast-pace lives mean that time is precious, Kristy is renowned for her ability to complete a manicure or pedicure quickly without streaking and smudging; her technique results in longer lasting manicures and pedicures – a skill that is greatly appreciated by her clients.
